a fanlisting
A fanlisting is a group of people who like something: i.e. a group of people who like wolves. All a fanlisting is is a list of fans to do with that particular person, item, or object; it joins together people with similar interests.avril lavigne
Canadian born, Avril is a singer-songwriter, fashion designer, and on occasion, actress. Her debut album (Let Go) was released in 2002 when she was seventeen - this sparked a successful career in the music industry that has since earned her the honorific title of "Pop Punk Princess" (amongst others). Avril has released seven albums in total.Whilst each album has a very different style and feel to them, they're a reminder of what Avril has always represented - a woman standing up for what she wants to be, wants to sing. All are different sides of her. If you want to know more about Avril, I'd suggest checking out wikipedia or her twitter.
It's difficult to articulate my love for Avril, because for most of my life she's been there. Since her debut she was my favourite artist, and so many of her songs resonate with me. I'm not able to listen to music as a whole regularly anymore - sensory issues, M.E., hashtag just chronic illness things - but there's still a corner of my brain reserved for Avril's songs that surfaces when I want or need them. Not only do they inspire thoughts and moods and situations (and she always hits my moods exactly!), they bring me back to places I used to be, a reflection of how I myself have changed and grown. Even now, it's her songs that tell me it's okay to freak out and let it go.
I've been fortunate enough to see her twice in concert - once in 2008 and once in 2011 - and she was fabulously fantastic on both occasions.
You can find (some of) her discography below: I've left an asterisk (*) beside my favourite songs.
